PODCAST: CRIST SHOULD VETO THE TEACHER MERIT PAY BILL

I’m sure he’s thinking about it. I’m sure he is not actually thinking about the issue, but more about what effect his signing or vetoing the teacher merit pay bill that is waiting on his desk will have on his chances of being elected the Senator for the State of Florida. Charlie is a serial candidate. He is a political professional and he understands way more than we do what his options are.

But this is about the education of our kids and also about the people who teach them. My take is simple Charlie – and will perhaps shock regular readers and listeners. Veto it! Not because we don’t need to change some things, but because this is a bad Bill. This gives power to the kids and provides fear for the teaching profession.
