I’VE ALREADY LIVED THROUGH WHERE WE ARE HEADING

Britain has the best Government healthcare anywhere in the world. It’s true. I lived with it for the best part of 40 years. The problem however, is that it doesn’t work. Tomorrow the President will sit down and try to con the American people over what he is calling a bipartisan approach to healthcare reform. There is nothing bipartisan about it. His plan has already been published. If the republicans refuse to go along with it, then he will once again declare them the “party of no”.

SCOTT BROWN: A DONKEY IN ELEPHANT'S CLOTHES?

Who is Scott Brown? Well we know he’s the new US Senator for Massachusetts. We know he has a couple of daughters who he is apparently trying to find dates for. We know he’s not 100% pro life based on his statements. And now after yesterday, we know he doesn’t particularly like debate and he does like spending OUR MONEY.

On the day after his historic election into what he called “the People’s Seat” and what the rest of us were calling “Ted Kennedy’s seat", I did a pod cast about Scott Brown. I had questions. WHY IS CRIST RUNNING FROM THE PEOPLE OF FLORIDA?

So Charlie Crist has finally agreed to debate Marco Rubio. We should all cheer, right? Well perhaps until you realize that the Governor made a commitment directly with me and live on the air to debate Rubio on 540 WFLA in Orlando.

More importantly, he agreed to take questions directly from the people of Florida – not from the anchors of Meet The Press and Fox News – the two debates he has now agreed to. He also was very specific. The debate had to include Senator Bob Smith and it could not take place prior to or during the Legislative Session here in the State of Florida.

DID MOSSAD TAKE DOWN HAMAS TERRORIST?

In a way it doesn't actually matter because the climate of fear created among Islamic terrorists around the world by the killing (I refuse to call it murder or assassination) of Mahmoud-al-Mabhouh (above) is enough to disrupt operations and keep these evil scum bags looking over their shoulders.

Israel quite rightly never comments on whether she did or did not in these circumstances, but the fact remains that this Hamas killer confessed to the kidnap and murder of two Israeli soldiers in 1989 and so it would not be too much of a leap to accept that Mossad tracked him down and made the world a better place by no longer allowing him to breathe the same air that all the rest of us do.

Here of course, we are so 'PC' in our approach that we want to give the 9-11 terrorists a nice comfy trial in New York City - and trust me when I tell you that is still the intention of the President and this Administration.

If we had the opportunity to put a bullet or 50 in bin Laden's head would we do so or would we read him his Miranda rights? The 'PC' brigade have to WAKE UP and smell the cooking Goat. I've said it before but in case anyone missed it...

WE ARE AT WAR

To deny it and to pretend that what these evil, murderous thugs are doing is a 'crime' and needs to be treated that way, completely ignores the reality of what we are facing. And we simply never learn.

Debra Medina is toast in Texas Gubernatorial race... at least I hope so!

This is actually very sad. I thought Debra Medina was a REAL candidate for Texas Governor. She seemed to be one of “us”. Certainly not the politician that Rick Perry is. And certainly not suspect in the same way as KBH is.

That was until today. Today she was interviewed by Glenn Beck on his radio show. It was going ok for a while and then Beck said he had received numerous e-mails from people suggesting she was a 9-11 truther.

Having sat in the radio interviewer chair, I can tell you that some questions are asked just to get the answers out of the way. I’m sure Beck was expecting “of course I’m not Glenn. Do you think I’m crazy?” But that’s not what he got at all. Instead she said the following:

MEDINA: I don’t, I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn. So I don’t I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there. So I’ve not taken a position on that.

Are you frickin kidding me? Unfortunately not. Because Glenn was stunned – as well he might be. And so he then asked what she would do if she found out members of her staff were 9-11 truthers. the next answer is even worse!

MEDINA: Well, you know, that’s a federal issue. We’re very focused on issues in Texas, on Texas state government. I’m certainly not into mind control or thought policing people.. . We’ve got a very diverse team in this state and that’s because Texans are standing shoulder to shoulder to support and defend the Constitution. I frankly don’t have time, you know, to go through and do psychological testing on people and know every thought or detail that they have.

She is toast. At least she should be. I want to see her numbers drop all the way back to 4% and below. Because not only did she say all of the above, but then when she realized how damaging it was, she went out and became the politician – doing damage control. Saying she didn’t believe the Government was responsible; saying she wasn’t prepared for the question. EXCUSE ME? You need to prepare for that question? How about “do you think the earth is flat?” do you need to prepare for THAT question too?

I think she’s certifiable! And worse than that, so are numerous of her supporters. I went to her facebook page to see what was going on. And I was STUNNED to find that they were all on board with the whole “we should question our Government (true) thing and therefore 9-11 was down to President Bush! I was even sent a whole bunch of e-mails ‘proving’ it wasn’t Islamic jihadists, but The Good Ole US of A!

So to my assorted Texan friends…. PLEASE do not give this woman ANY credibility by actually voting for her!

DAILY PODCASTS HAVE BEGUN!

It's been coming for a while now, and today at last it is ready for release! I'm very proud to announce the birth of my new multi-media website:

It's still new and still very much under construction, but its most certainly ready for my friends and perhaps some of you who don't agree with me - just make sure you do so politely!

In addition to my blogging, you will also be able to find links to reliable news sources, information about me, audio samples of my on-air activities and a daily podcast. Today you can hear all about why I won't miss John Murtha!

In addition to all of that, you will be able to find information about my next on-air dates plus I'm working on providing a streaming link for each of those dates so you only have to go to one place to hear me live on the air. I will also be building an audio archive so if you missed some shows or specific interviews, you will be able to find those as well.

And if all of that isn't enough, then I intend to provide video as well.

Having said that, I will welcome your input into how I can make it better. Don't be shy! I know you're not!

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THE REAL AMERICA?

I promise this will not be all that political - but I just LOVE the REAL America. The one that sets us apart from everyone else. What I'm about to tell you is a story of incredible entrepreneurship which was followed by an incredible find which in turn was followed by a challenge to kids and then the first of many acts of generosity. This story will end up with you doing the right thing to help provide college scholarships. Trust me - you will not want to let the people who have gone before you, down.

This is a story about America. The America I love. The one that doesn't require Government to tell us what to do; to hold our hand; to get in our way; to provide hand outs and to nanny us. This is the REAL America. I am going to give you the opportunity in a moment to grab yourself a piece of REAL American history, but first I have to start at the beginning (always a good place I feel).

There is this wonderful local company called College Hunks Hauling Junk. Some of you who may be local will perhaps have heard of them and even know the next part of this story. The company was hired to clear out an abandoned storage unit. While doing their job they found a genuine treasure trove of American history in the form of sports memorabilia. The list of items includes autographed basketballs, hockey sticks and baseballs, including ones from Hall of Famers Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Mike Schmidt. ALL the items are authenticated.

Now of course the company could have kept all the goodies for themselves and sold them for lots of money. But as I said at the beginning - this is a story of the REAL America. The one where we help our fellow citizens.

Now all these items have been donated to Dr Phillips High School right here in Orlando - the High School where for the fifth year, I am coaching mens and womens tennis (so I am totally biased here!) and DP will be holding a silent auction for the items in a project called "Play it Forward".

Let me give a few words to DP's remarkable Athletics Director, John Magrino: "With the extraordinary help of Lockheed Martin’s Jimmy Stewart, Dr. Phillips High School is auctioning off the items online to fund, hopefully, multiple scholarships for deserving student-athletes of the class of 2010…hence the name, “Play it Forward.” The auction itself will run for two weeks beginning Friday February 12th at 5:00 PM. All items are available for preview right now by going to the auction site at http://silentauction.verticalaps.com/index.asp?auction=9 .

"None of this would be possible without the generosity of DP graduate Bradford MacGregor of College Hunks Hauling Junk, and our own Deb Wasylik, who submitted the required essay to the company when it was searching to donate the items for a worthy cause. So there you have it. Your chance to own genuine American history AND help some deserving kids get to college in these troubled times. It doesn't get any better than that. DEMS RUN FOR THE HILLS!

It is perhaps the best sport on TV at the moment - that will change briefly on Sunday when the Superbowl airs! - and to be honest I can't get enough of it.

There are so many Dems that feel vulnerable right now that not only does this qualify as the best sport on TV, but also the best comedy!

Let's look at some of the goings on. In Missouri there is a Senate candidate who wasted no time at all on Monday, slamming the President's huge budget deficit. Here in Florida, Sen Bill Nelson (you remember him. He told us about his personal conversations with the President and how confident he was that the Prez supported the space program?) - well he is clearly not pleased by Obama's removal of manned space flight and made sure we all knew about it.

Over in Arkansas, Sen. Blanche Lincoln posted the following screaming headline on the campaign website: "Blanche stands up for Arkansas farm families" and the story below the headline went on to blast the President's farm budget and how terrible she thinks it is!

Even Barbara Boxer (D-Ca) sent a message to Obama on Wednesday at a Q&A he held with Senate Dems which simply said "California is hurting". Well maybe California might want to kick out a few of its State Dems and it might discover it will hurt less!

There are even more people in the House feeling the pinch (botox and face lift jokes not intended) as Pelosi tries to keep them all in check.

What's really fun is that the President doesn't get it... or perhaps doesn't care. Maybe he has resigned himself to be a one term President because in that same Q&A he was quoted by the Baltimore Sun as saying: "If anybody's searching for a lesson from Massachusetts, I promise you, the answer is not to do nothing. We've got to finish the job on health care. We've got to finish the job on financial regulatory reform. We've got to finish the job, even though it's hard."

Go for it Mr President. Don't forget about Cap And Tax and illegal immigration amnesty. Go full steam ahead with all these policies that the American people don't want. Do them all at the same time so we can continue to watch your Congressional colleagues throw you under the bus.

Best sport on TV.

BIG GOVERNMENT TO BECOME TRULY MASSIVE GOVERNMENT

Do you remember the good old days when President Clinton announced to the world "the era of big government is over"? Well apparently that was just a temporary "over" because we are about to see the largest ever Federal Government with some 2.15 million employees - and I don't think that includes contractors!

The Obama administration made the announcement and it will mark the first time since Clinton, that the Federal workforce has topped two million.

The numbers - which were contained in the budget released on Monday, do NOT include postal workers (remember that is a "for profit" organization!). The number does however include people hired to oversee outside contracts - again, no word on the number of actual contractors.

So far, The American Federation of Government Employees (that would be the Union) says it is still looking through the budget and did not have a comment. But other people do. The following was in the Washington Times today:

"I'm shocked that the 'tea party' hasn't focused on it yet, and the Obama administration only has a thin sliver of time to deal more directly with it, I believe," said Paul C. Light, who studies the federal bureaucracy as a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a professor at New York University. "When you talk about big government, you're talking about a big employer."

Now the thing is, party affiliation has little to do with the nation's general distaste for big government. I cannot imagine that HUGE Government is going to play any better. When - someone please tell me - when will these people STOP playing with our money and STOP trying to control every aspect of our lives? I really want to know.
