CLIMATE HOAX - TEMP DATA DUMPED

On Friday of last week, I was hosting BHL on 540 WFLA and my guest was one of the world's leading authorities on the planet's climate - Lord Christopher Monckton - who apart from anything else, is the former Science Adviser to Margaret Thatcher's government.

One of the things we kept returning to was the now proven hoax of the whole Global Warming fiasco - a problem that could easily lead to the biggest tax bill in the planet's history in the form of Cap and Trade, and perhaps more importantly, the president going over to Copenhagen and signing a treaty that would cede United States sovereignty to an unelected world government body.

A whistle blower released more than 1,000 e-mails and more than 70 documents which prove that the data on temperature has been manipulated to prove a lie - that the planet is warming. The reality is that the planet is cooling.

And now today we find that the same scientists who wrote the 70 plus documents and exchanged the 1,000 plus e-mails, destroyed the very source data they say proved their point - making it impossible for anyone to check their so-called work.

The UK's Sunday Times reported the following: SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.

It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.


The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.


The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.

Look at this again - "The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted . . ." Adjusted? really?

The only truly shocking thing left is that despite the lies; despite the proof of manipulation; despite the fact that those who wish to literally take over the world have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar; despite all of that, the mainstream media continues to ignore what I really think is perhaps the biggest story of the 21st century so far and the President still intends to go to Copenhagen and sign away our freedom.

I was a journalist in various places around the world for a very long time. I am simply left wondering where the journalists are right now? CNN thought the most important story over the weekend after Tiger Woods, was the bad spelling on the menus at the gate crashed White House State Dinner!

THE FIRST RECORDED FAILURE OF SOCIALISM - THE ORIGINAL THANKSGIVING

By now my regular readers will be aware that I'm a relatively new citizen of the United States (I promise I won't say that after January 1!) and as such I like to investigate the real history of our nation.

So we all know the traditional story of the original Thanksgiving, but it was a bit too perfect for me to accept on face value.

And so I decided to dig a little. And if you are going to really dig into that time, then you have to read the written account by William Bradford - the first Governor of the colony.

You see William wrote a book on the first 30 years of the colony known as "Of Plymouth Plantation". Simplistically the real story is this. Everyone worked the fields and the harvest and everything that was taken was put into a central store and all members of the colony could take what they needed from the store. Not a shock to me that this didn't work. You see what happened was that the lazy realized that they didn't have to do anything. They could sit back and live off the labors of others. And those doing the laboring were not at all happy about it and overall it simply didn't work. There was not enough food to go around. And Bradford realized this too - the slackers wanted to take but not to give. And they system meant they didn't have to.

And so William Bradford as Governor changed things. He gave each family their own piece of land an they could keep everything they needed from that piece of land and then - and only then - if there was anything left over, they could contribute it to a general store (we call this charity today). And once the success had been achieved, the Indians were invited over for some food. So to recap, Socialism failed and people went hungry. Capitalism replaced it and was a huge success. Liberals want to take us back to Socialism! Why is it so hard for the people of this country of all the countries in the world to get it?

What follows are the original words in case you think I'm making this up. The language is a little difficult to get through, but the message is clear. And if we knew this in the 1600s, then when did we forget it?

All this while no supply was heard of, neither knew they when they might expect any. So they began to think how they might raise as much corn as they could, and obtain a better crop than they had done, that they might not still thus languish in misery. At length, after much debate of things, the Governor (with the advice of the chiefest amongst them) gave way that they should set corn every man for his own particular, and in that regard trust to themselves; in all other thing to go on in the general way as before. And so assigned to every family a parcel of land, according to the proportion of their number, for that end, only for present use (but made no division for inheritance) and ranged all boys and youth under some family. This had very good success, for it made all hands very industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been by any means the Governor or any other could use, and saved him a great deal of trouble, and gave far better content. The women now went willingly into the field, and took their little ones with them to set corn; which before would allege weakness and inability; whom to have compelled would have been thought great tyranny and oppression.

The experience that was had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years and that amongst godly and sober men, may well evince the vanity of that conceit of Plato's and other ancients applauded by some of later times; and that the taking away of property and bringing in community into a commonwealth would make them happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God. For this community (so far as it was) was found to breed much confusion and discontent and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For the young men, that were most able and fit for labor and service, did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men's wives and children without any recompense. The strong, or man of parts, had no more in division of victuals and clothes than he that was weak and not able to do a quarter the other could; this was thought injustice. The aged and graver men to be ranked and equalized in labors and victuals, clothes etc., with the meaner and younger sort, thought it some indignity and disrespect unto them. And for men's wives to be commanded to do service for other men, as dressing their meat, washing their clothes, etc., they deemed it a kind of slavery, neither could many husbands well brook it. Upon the point all being to have alike, and all to do alike, they thought themselves in the like condition, and one as good as another; and so, if it did not cut off those relations that God hath set amongst men, yet it did at least much diminish and take off the mutual respects that should be preserved amongst them. And would have been worse if they had been men of another condition. Let none object this is men's corruption, and nothing to the course itself. I answer, seeing all men have this corruption in them, God in His wisdom saw another course fitter for them.

So with all of this in mind, it just leaves me to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Don't eat too much and please do remember those less fortunate than you.

MORE DITHERING - NOW UK UPSET

Britain's Defense Secretary has launched a scathing and unprecedented attack on our President. Normally I would be upset about this and would be telling Bob Ainsworth that it is not smart to attack your closest ally.

But the thing is it is not just the American public that has become at best, uneasy, with the President over Afghanistan. It's not just the troops - exposed by lack of manpower and equipment - who are wondering what their Commander in Chief is up to. Now it's World Leaders who simply cannot understand a President who appoints his own General and then ignores his pleas for more troops over an almost four month period. This would be the same general that the president virtually ignored for months and months.

So we have a war that the President doesn't want to see "victory" in - HIS WORDS - and yet he continues to put our brave men and women in harms' way.

WHY?? EXPLAIN YOURSELF MR PRESIDENT!

And after you've explained yourself and we all understand that "victory" is a dirty word, then BRING THEM HOME!

The feeling of unease is spreading throughout the world. Does this guy (that would be OUR President) have a clue about what he is doing? Our allies have voters too and those voters are uneasy as their own nation's death toll rises. Britain - with some 9,000 troops in country - recently added another 500 in an effort to put pressure on the President.

And now he tells us he's reached a decision. The decision is he is going to make a decision on December 1! Well you get a "Standing O" from me Mr President! That's the kind of decisive leadership we all wanted. SHEESH!

Meanwhile Britain's Defence Secretary, Bob Ainsworth, is speaking of a “period of hiatus” in Washington - and a lack of clear direction - which had made it harder for UK Government ministers to persuade the British public to go on backing the Afghan mission in the face of a rising death toll.

Relations between the two countries are now strained which is actually kind of funny. You see the political power in charge in the UK is the equivalent to the Democrats. The close relationship between President Bush and Prime Minister Blair was extremely close - despite their political differences. Now we have the parties in power in the two countries coming from roughly the same place and we have strained relations with our best friend.

The most important thing here is not the President's inexperience; not his lack of judgement; not even his personal socialist agenda that threatens to take this great nation over the abyss. No the most important thing here are the brave men and women who daily fight for our freedom without anything even close to the full support of their own Commander in Chief.

Shame on you Mr President. Shame on you!

PALIN CLOSES IN ON OBAMA

The LA Times is worried! Don't lose any sleep over that, but know it to be true! They've taken a look at the numbers and they don't like what they are seeing. Sarah Palin has silently closed the gap on the President in an imaginary 2012 election. Some polls even have her ahead!

But, this is the LA Times and so obviously it couldn't resist the urge to unleash the attack dogs again. Read this! "Not that it matters politically because obviously she's a female Republican dunce and he's obviously a male Democratic genius".

Now I have to remind you that I was a journalist in the UK. These days I get paid for my opinion and you read my opinion here, but back in the good old newspaper days, NO POLITICIAN knew my politics. The first lesson in the first class in journalism school used to be the Fox News mantra - "fair and balanced". I have no idea what they are teaching in our universities these days that would allow a comment like the one I just reprinted from the LA Times to appear in print. If one of my reporters had done that when I was editing three newspapers, I would have fired them.

Anyway - sidebar over and back to the main story here.

And the main story for me is quite simple. The left simply doesn't understand Sarah Palin or the way she resonates with the people. They have done everything they can think of to destroy this woman and indeed her family, and yet here we are on a nationwide book tour with people standing in line for more than 24 hours just to get 30 seconds with her while she signs the book.

How can this be? The leftist elite tells us she's an idiot. They make fun of her. They try oh so hard to prove she has a bad marriage. That she's a bad mom; that she was a terrible Governor; that she broke the law and on and on and on and on. And yet, the people love her. The left has NO RESPECT for the people, because of course the people are incredibly dumb. The leftist elite knows best what's good for you. You can't possibly know better than them. So how can the dumb American people simply not get it after everything the left has done to take Palin down?

It's real simple - SHE'S ONE OF US!

Not only that, but she communicates with us on an equal footing. She NEVER talks down to us. NEVER assumes she knows better than us. And NEVER tries to find a way around the CONSTITUTION. Wake up lefties! We're coming to take our country back. It starts in less than a year. Tick...tock...tick...tock...tick...tock...

I got side tracked again. The LA Times! They even reported today that the President's numbers are down to 48% while Palin's are up to 47%. It's also early enough in his Presidency for the Times to report the following without having an effect on his chances in 2012. "Although presidential incumbency has hardly kept Obama chained to the Oval Office, he and Joe Biden now own the U.S. economy, where their much-vaunted $787 billion economic stimulus package has so far stimulated unemployment to grow from 8% to more than 10%."

Amazing!

Having said that, the Times is also clearly concerned about the 2010 elections and shot across the President's bow today in an extremely direct way. "Historically, the White House party loses about 17 House seats in a normal midterm election cycle. That wouldn't change control of the House.

George W. Bush's GOP actually gained seats in 2002. Democrat Bill Clinton's first midterm election was a political Katrina, producing the Contract with America and so-called Republican revolution that saw the GOP take control of both houses of Congress after years of minority status.

Much of that turnaround was attributed to Clinton having run in 1992 as a centrist and then immediately pushed a more liberal agenda involving something called healthcare reform.
But that couldn't possibly happen again because of the popularity of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi whose current favorable poll ratings are -- let's see here -- OMG, only about half of Palin's."

I repeat.....

Wake up lefties! We're coming to take our country back. It starts in less than a year. Tick...tock...tick...tock...tick...tock...

SHARE THANKSGIVING WITH THE MILITARY

I've said it before - Thanksgiving is two words! There is still time to share your Thanksgiving with members of our military who are far from home.

You see at this time of year there are thousands of men and women who serve in our armed services who are hundreds of miles from home and only have what the military are able to dish up.

I did think about this last year too and I called a Vet I know and asked how I could help. And the answer is really simple.

So if you are interested, call the First Sergeant of your nearest military base and let them know that you have two spare seats at your Thanksgiving table available for any serving military. Really that's it. The First Sergeant will find the right two and set the whole thing up.

This is truly a great way to remember that Thanksgiving is indeed two words. This will certainly help you fulfill the giving part and you will find it extremely rewarding. Oh and it works at Christmas too!!

Certainly you might find it a little awkward for a couple of minutes, but once the ice is broken it is indeed extremely rewarding. There is still time to set this up and so I urge you to contact the First Sergeant of your nearest base today.

GOT $100M? BUY A SENATE VOTE!

Well at least now we know the price. For around $100m you can buy yourself a vote in the United States Senate. At least that's what Harry Reid spent to secure the vote of moderate democrat Mary Landrieu from Louisiana.

You see Senator Landrieu has not been cooperating with Harry over the health care bill and so Harry added two pages of COMPLETE GARBAGE to the bill to ensure that Mary would come on board.

Interestingly, you have two pages which speak about how help for States recovering from a disaster would be helped. BUT - it only applies to Louisiana.

It actually appears on page 432 of the Bill and speaks of increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster.”

It then spends two entire pages telling us how a State would qualify. It's written in a way that it actually could only ever apply to one State and I've already told you which one.

The biggest problem is of course that America will simply sleep through this as it has done through many others. There are increasing numbers of people who are standing up and are demanding their voice be heard. Unfortunately - for now at least - the people in power are ignoring you as they go about the systematic destruction of the United States.

If all that wasn't bad enough, the language is incredible. The following is from ABC News:

SEC. 2006. SPECIAL ADJUSTMENT TO FMAP DETERMINATION FOR CERTAIN STATES RECOVERING FROM A MAJOR DISASTER.

Section 1905 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d), as amended by sections 2001(a)(3) and2001(b)(2), is amended— (1) in subsection (b), in the first sentence, by striking ‘‘subsection (y)’’ and inserting ‘‘subsections (y) and (aa)’’; and (2) by adding at the end the following new subsection:‘‘(aa)(1) Notwithstanding subsection (b), beginning January 1, 2011, the Federal medical assistance percentage for a fiscal year for a disaster-recovery FMAP adjustment State shall be equal to the following:

‘(A) In the case of the first fiscal year (or part of a fiscal year) for which this subsection applies to the State, the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the fiscal year without regard to this subsection and subsection (y), increased by 50 percent of the number of percentage points by which the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the fiscal year without regard to this subsection and subsection (y), is less than the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the preceding fiscal year after the application of only subsection (a) of section 5001 of Public Law 111–5 (if applicable to the preceding fiscal year) and without regard to this subsection, subsection (y), and subsections (b) and (c) of section 5001 of Public Law 111–5.

‘‘(B) In the case of the second or any succeeding fiscal year for which this subsection applies to the State, the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the preceding fiscal year under this subsection for the State, increased by 25 percent of the number of percentage points by which the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the fiscal year without regard to this subsection and subsection (y), is less than the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the preceding fiscal year under this subsection.

‘‘(2) In this subsection, the term ‘disaster-recovery FMAP adjustment State’ means a State that is one ofthe 50 States or the District of Columbia, for which, at any time during the preceding 7 fiscal years, the President has declared a major disaster under section 401 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act and determined as a result of such disaster that every county or parish in the State warrant individual and public assistance or public assistance from the Federal Government under such Act and for which— ‘‘(A) in the case of the first fiscal year (or part of a fiscal year) for which this subsection applies to the State, the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the fiscal year without regard to this subsection and subsection (y), is less than the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the preceding fiscal year after the application of only subsection (a) of section 5001 of Public Law 111–5 (if applicable to the preceding fiscal year) and without regard to this subsection, subsection (y), and subsections (b) and (c) of section 5001 of Public Law 111–5, by at least 3 percentage points; and ‘‘(B) in the case of the second or any succeeding fiscal year for which this subsection applies to the State, the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the fiscal year without regard to this subsection and subsection (y), is less than the Federal medical assistance percentage determined for the State for the preceding fiscal year under this subsection by at least 3 percentage points.

‘‘(3) The Federal medical assistance percentage determined for a disaster-recovery FMAP adjustment State under paragraph (1) shall apply for purposes of this title (other than with respect to disproportionate share hospital payments described in section 1923 and payments under this title that are based on the enhanced FMAP described in 2105(b)) and shall not apply with respect to payments under title IV (other than under part E of title IV) or payments under title XXI.’’.

WELCOME TO OUR FUTURE

"Simon Conway - the human time machine. We're headed to a place I've already lived through!" If you've listened to me on the air a few times, then you will probably have heard me say that. But what I'm about to tell you, I have not lived through. It does however, come from a place which tends to be a future predictor of what is coming here.

Just like here, the UK has an Environmental Agency. Just like here, the agency is completely out of step with the beliefs and the will of the people.

Right now just two in five of the UK population believes that global warming is caused by human activity.

Despite that, the serious proposal on the table right now is that everyone in the UK should have an annual carbon RATION. If you overspend on it, then you will be fined. If you underspend on it, then you can sell your unused carbon to someone who uses more!

Everyone would be issued with a unique number - "I am not a number - I am a MAN" (if you can tell me where that comes from you win the prize of being really hip!) - and you would have to give your number (the Nazis did something with numbers too - I forget right now) when you were buying stuff that contributes to your carbon footprint. Now of course, this is Government so although it may start off as gas and airline tickets, you know they will see the tax potential and eventually include candy because of course candy takes energy to make and therefore increases your footprint! ARRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Somebody shoot me now!!

The proposal further suggests that just like with your bank account, you are going to be sent a monthly statement (errr...did anyone figure out that takes trees and stamps and gas to deliver?) to "help people keep track of what they are using" according the the UK Telegraph. And here's the kicker. If your account hits zero, then you have to pay to get more credits.

But perhaps the most scary and Orwellian stuff is this. And of course, there has to be a bad guy right? Listen to this OFFICIAL Government quote.

A spokesman for the Agency said the following: "A lot of people who cycle will get money back. It will probably only be bankers and those with extravagant lifestyles who would lose out."

The scheme is part of - wait for it - Britain's "Green New Deal" - again, I am not joking.

It does have it's critics of course. One of those evil Bankers weighed in with the following. She is an economist with the Arbuthnot Banking Group and she told the UK Daily Mail: "This is all about control of the individual and you begin to wonder whether this is what the green agenda has always been about. It is Orwellian. This will be an enormous tax on business."

AMAZING WEEKEND!

Imagine you are 22 years old. You're still a kid really in so many ways. And then your country sends you off to a foreign land to fight for the freedom of those people and the people "back home". Imagine then that you are caught up in a fire fight and then get shot in the head.

Perhaps now you are imagining why the headline on this story is "amazing weekend".

Well you see I was at an event on Friday and Saturday. At the same hotel there was also a military banquet. I ended up with sore hands thanking everyone I met for their service to our great nation.

Late in the evening, I stepped outside for some air and there was this young man. He looked extremely young, but was in fact 25. That says more about me than it does about him! He was a sergeant in the Army and was in full dress uniform.

We got to chatting when I noticed an almost perfectly round - about the size of a nickel - circle of baldness towards the back of his head. I asked him if his buddies had played a shaving prank on him. "no", he said. "I was shot in the head" as he proceeded to show me the entry wound on the left side of his temple. The exit wound was the patch of baldness.

He told me he had undergone brain surgery and then I noticed the purple heart bar on his uniform standing proudly at the top of a whole host of other medals.

In some respects he is a lucky guy. He is perfectly normal with no impairment of his functions following his brain surgery. He has in fact been back to combat since his recovery and would go again.

He told me a lot of things in the hour we spent together. He told me about military members of other countries and how they joke with each other all the time "our Army is better than your army". And he also told me how all that stops and how they all come together and respect the traditions of either the religion or the country involved during what they call "angel flights". These are the flights that bring the bodies of our dead heroes back home.

We also talked about Fort Hood. I could see how angry he was about that. I asked him what made him the most angry about it and he said "the excuses". Take note apologists!

It was perhaps one of the most amazing hours of my life. I was honored to be in the presence of this young man and I hope he and I stay in touch. I was also struck by the sense of THIS is exactly the kind of person we want on the wall. Each generation produces more of them and the sacrifice they have all made for our freedom should never go without comment.

HAVE THE KLEENEX READY

I can barely contain myself. Barely hold back the tears. You see after those poor Acorn people lost funding - millions of Dollars in funding - someone decided that Congress had breached the Constitution!

Yesterday the Community Organisers - made famous on all kinds of levels - filed suit against the Federal Government. It claimed that the revealing "prostitute" videos where a young couple posing as a Hooker and her pimp were offered all kinds of illegal advice on how to obtain housing and a loan - was used by Congress to "convict" the group and therefore take away its funding.

Anyone need a Kleenex yet? No? Me neither.

Thursday's lawsuit claims that Congress violated the right to due process enshrined in the Fifth Amendment -- declaring the group guilty of a crime and punishing its members without completing an investigation within the Department of Justice or the IRS. "It's not the job of Congress to be the judge, jury, and executioner," said Jules Lobel, an attorney representing the Center for Constitutional Rights. That from Fox News.

So now I guess more Federal tax Dollars will be spent on this group - this time fighting them over OUR money.

We all of course hope that the Federal Government puts up a strong defense. It's just hard to sleep knowing that Acorn is feeling the pinch. Maybe I should send them something? Some "change" perhaps? Maybe that will lead to "hope" for them?

REMEMBER!

As a fairly new citizen of this country I am perhaps more aware than some lucky enough to have been born here of the value of being here. I chose to be here and to embrace my new land and its culture. Our way of life; our democracy; our ability to know right from wrong and to stand up for justice and our freedoms which so many of us take for granted.

As we approach the Holidays we have Veterans Day. So many don't even know why it is today. Why November 11? It is sad that our schools don't do a good enough job to make sure each new generation understands the significance. Our citizens need to understand that without the sacrifice of so many who have laid down their lives to protect our freedoms, we would not be enjoying the coming Holiday season.

The greatest generation of both this country and indeed the United Kingdom where I was born – was undoubtedly the generation that fought for us in World War II. All they knew was that without victory there would be tyranny. Without victory there would be evil. Without victory there would be no freedom.

The victory was a victory for freedom, but it was a victory won at an enormous cost in lives. That generation understood way better than we do now that however much you may hate violence and war – and let’s be honest, only the truly insane love either one of them – sometimes wars have to be fought and evil has to be stamped out to preserve the greater good.


The victory allowed us to continue with our way of life. To attend schools and colleges; churches, synagogues and mosques. It allowed us to continue to hand power from one President to another no matter what the political party without violence. One Congress to another in a similar way as the politicians bow to the will of the people. The victory allowed us to raise our families and build our communities and chase our dreams and even to reach for the stars – and get there.

You who laid down your lives in the name of freedom have given us all of this and so much more. You bought these things for us with your blood and most of us don’t think about you when we are at the beach or on the lake enjoying the freedom to enjoy which you bought for us with your blood. We think about the laughter of our children and not your cries of pain. We look in wonder as the sunlight sparkles across the water and we certainly do not see your limbs spread across a battlefield.

We rarely, if ever, pause and think about the great American Sacrifice. It was Lincoln who referred to it as “The last full measure of devotion”.

September of 2001 taught us that freedom has a price as the descendants of the evil of World War Two brought death and destruction to our land. And just last week we saw what happened at Fort Hood - another terrorist attack. 2001 was perhaps a wake up call and we did wake up.

Will last week wake us up or will we be falling asleep all over again? Even after Fort Hood we have some who are telling us to feel sympathy for the shooter.

The parallels between Europe of the 1930s and the World of right now is too close for my personal comfort at least. And so today more young men and women are paying the price of freedom on our behalf. I wish they had the full backing of the White House - and frankly if that is not there, then bring these heroes home.

I have already mentioned Lincoln in this short piece and as I think about how to pay tribute to those who gave everything for this country, I am drawn once again to his words – words written enroute to a Cemetery filled with thousands of graves in a small Pennsylvania town called Gettysburg.

He said: "We cannot dedicate. . .we cannot consecrate. . . we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men - living and dead - who struggled here have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. . . . "

"It is for us - the living - to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. . .that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion. . . that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. . . that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom. . . and that government of the people. . .by the people. . .for the people. . . shall not perish from the earth."

This was Lincoln’s challenge in 1863 and it remains ours today. I for one know for sure that it is because of their sacrifice that we are still able to shout out...

MORE MISTAKES REVEALED ON HASAN INVESTIGATION

As each day passes we learn more about the mistakes made in the investigation of the alleged Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan. I have already removed his rank as I think it is an insult to those who have served us with honor.

It now appears that as early as 2007, red flags were being waved in our faces - and once again (as mentioned in this blog a few days ago) - the "PC mentality" that exists in all branches of our military, seems to have been in the way of someone - ANYONE - doing the right thing with this man.

Back in 2007 Hasan did a powerpoint presentation. According to the Washington Post, this is not what was supposed to happen. It was supposed to be a presentation on a medical topic during his senior year as a psychiatric resident at Walter Reed Medical Center.

Instead, he was put in front of senior military personnel with a 50 slide presentation, and "warned" the officers of "adverse events" if Muslim members of our military were not allowed to be excused war service in the theatres of Iraq and Afghanistan. He wanted them to be classed as "conscientious objectors".

That should have been enough frankly, but there is of course a lot more.

Fox News today on the switch of presentations: Instead, Hasan lectured his supervisors and two dozen mental health staff members on Islam, homicide bombings and threats the military could encounter from Muslims conflicted about fighting against other Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. A source who attended the presentation told the paper, "It was really strange. The senior doctors looked really upset."

And this quote from the Post article should have sent shivers down everyone's spine. "It's getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims."

Look at this - morally justify - INCREDIBLE!!

In a slide entitled "Comments", Hasan's last bullet point is truly chilling: "We love death more then [sic] you love life!"

Fox News again: A classmate of Hasan, meanwhile, told FoxNews.com that the warning signs were all there — the justification of homicide bombings; spewing anti-American hatred; efforts to reach out to Al Qaeda — but that the military treated Hasan with kid gloves, even after giving him a poor performance review.

In my mind, the classmate doesn't get a pass either. He should have reported his colleague.

Lt. Col. Val Finnell, Hasan's classmate at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., recalled one time when his classmates were giving presentations in an environmental health class on topics like soil and water contamination. "When it was Hasan's turn, he said, he got up in front of the class and began to speak about his chosen topic, "Is the War on Terror a war on Islam?" Finnell says he raised his hand. "I asked the professor, "What does this topic have to do with environmental health? When he was challenged on his views, Hasan became visibly upset. He became sweaty, he was emotional." - Fox News again.

I understand he was a student. I understand he is in the military, but frankly with what was at stake, he should have kept on shouting until somebody listened - especially when you consider the next comments.

Finnell recalled Hasan telling his classmates and professors, "I'm a Muslim first and I hold the Shariah, the Islamic Law, before the United States Constitution."

Take that in again...

It is hard for us to believe that someone who has said those words is allowed to continue to be in the service.

Investigations continue. We know that the Administration doesn't want this to be classed as terrorism. We all know what it was.

TERRORIST LINKS GROW FOR FORT HOOD SHOOTER

As each day passes, more evidence emerges that the terrible Fort Hood shooting could have been stopped. The serious Sunday Telegraph from London is reporting that Nidal Malik Hasan, , worshipped at the same mosque as two of the 9/11 terrorists.

According to the newspaper, Hasan attended services at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Va., in 2001 at the same time as Sept. 11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour. Funeral services for Hasan's mother also was held at that mosque.

The FBI is anxiously waiting for Hassan to wake up so they can establish whether or not he knew them.

Meanwhile, it is now being said that US intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda. Two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

And if all of that isn't enough, ABC News has this: Investigators want to know if Hasan maintained contact with a radical mosque leader from Virginia, Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and runs a web site that promotes jihad around the world against the U.S.

In a blog posting early Monday titled "Nidal Hassan Did the Right Thing," Awlaki calls Hassan a "hero" and a "man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people."

And now Congress has asked CIA Director Leon Panetta and the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair to preserve all intelligence files that the agency has on Hassan.

As each day passes it seems that we knew one heck of a lot about Hassan - and did nothing. Now the families of those allegedly shot by him, will have HUGE questions as to why he was allowed access to our brave men and women.

And frankly, not just the families. We should ALL be asking these very serious questions. While the left scrambles to try and convince us that this man was in fact a victim, those of us with our eyes open, are seeing this this was indeed a terrorist attack.

What we call it doesn't matter. What it was most certainly does matter.

It brings us back to the usual questions. Who knew? What did they know? How is it even possible that this could happen on the largest military installation in the world?

Those questions and more need to be answered.

I thought it would be interesting to see who voted which way in Nancy Pelosi's sneaky Saturday night vote in Congress. And don't forget - Pelosi broke a huge promise after she failed to publish the Bill on line 72 hours before a vote.

WILL THEY OR WON'T THEY?

NO INSURANCE? GO TO JAIL!

The pressure must be enormous! Following last week's elections when the Democrats even managed to lose New Jersey, it is understandable that there are members of the House who have at least one eye on their own futures. But yesterday the President, White House Chief of Staff and "Closer" Rahm Emanuel, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and even Education Secretary Arne Duncan were hitting the phones trying to turn those who plan to vote against the health care Bill.

And with each passing hour - and another broken promise by Nancy Pelosi (this one to publish the Bill on line 72 hours before a vote), details emerge that make passage of the Bill harder for her and her enforcers.

For example - a measure that was removed in Committee Stage is back. The Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.

I would love to go through the letter and detail its contents, but this blog is going to be long without that. The link to the letter is above.

MEANWHILE those lovely moveon.org people have issued threats. The organisation has reportedly raised $3,578,117 in contributions to fund primary challenges against 'any Democratic senator who blocks an up-or-down vote on health care reform with a public option,' according to an e-mail sent to group members on Thursday.

A civil war in the Democrat Party is not something I lose any sleep over, but the Chicago-style politics of this group is certainly something to behold right now. Just for good measure, the e-mail it sent out highlighted Democracy for America - the largest progressive group in the country which was founded by former DNC Chairman Howard Dean and THAT organisation's urging of Senate Democrats to strip committee chairmanship from "any Democrat who filibusters health care."

MEANWHILE AGAIN there appears to be a small civil war erupting in the AMA which endorsed the President's health care proposals last week. Fox News reports the following: The American Medical Association's much-touted endorsement of the House health care reform bill has triggered a revolt among some members who want the endorsement withdrawn. Some members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates. On Monday, delegates will vote on a resolution offered by some members that, if approved, will withdraw the AMA’s endorsement of the bill.

Now this is EXTREMELY relevant because the President made such a huge deal of the endorsement when it came - along with that of the AARP. "They're endorsing this bill because they know it will strengthen Medicare, not jeopardize it," he told reporters. "They know it will protect the benefits our seniors receive, not cut them. "So I want everyone to remember that the next time you hear the same tired arguments to the contrary from insurance companies and their lobbyists and remember this endorsement the next time you see a bunch of misleading ads on television," he added.

Hmmmm - interesting reading don't you think? There are still HUGE issues facing Pelosi and her cronies. Abortion is one. Right now, the Bill does allow Federal funds to be used for this. She has a tough job to find a compromise here. If she doesn't take it out, then I don't think she has the votes. If she DOES take it out then the left of her party could abandon it.

She has similar issues over illegal immigrants - one is reminded of that now famous "YOU LIE" call. This from AP - As drafted, the legislation permits illegal immigrants to purchase coverage with their own money inside the insurance exchange that would be created — a provision that the 23-member Hispanic Caucus wants retained in any final compromise that reaches Obama's desk.

So there you have it. The news could change hourly today. Pelosi might even shoot for a Sunday vote - BUT one thing I know for sure. She will not risk losing on the floor of the House. If you hear its up for a vote, then she strongly believes it will pass. As part of the phone round yesterday, members were told by the President that to pass nothing would kill the Bill. They had to pass SOMETHING which would then be changed before it reached his desk.

One would hope that with 234 millionaires in Congress, they have enough intelligence not to buy that particular snake oil.

PC WILL BE THE DEATH OF US

My blog yesterday contained anger. I was and am angry. I am angry that we might just have allowed political correctness to lead us to this dark place we find ourselves in. Questions need to be asked.

For SIX MONTHS at least, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was making anti American comments. Was comparing suicide bombers to people who have thrown themselves on grenades to save their comrades.

Did the army look the other way because this man is a Muslim? My sources inside the military inform me that PC is so rife in our armed services that they almost certainly did "look the other way" because of this man's religion.

He said suicide bombers should be classed in the same category as the likes of Navy SEAL Michael Monsoor. Michael was the SEAL who provided cover from a rooftop while other Marines pulled my friend - Master Sergeant of Marines Spanky Gibson - to safety after another terrorist piece of scum shot out his knee cap - later leading to Spanky having his leg amputated.

Not content with that, this SEAL hero - just six months later - threw himself on a grenade to save three of his SEAL colleagues. The Medal of Honor was presented to his grieving parents, during a White House reception. BUT this piece of garbage thinks a suicide bomber should be regarded in the same light as Michael Monsoor.

I find it hard to believe that no one knew what he was planning. Extremely hard.

"Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor," Hasan said. Col. Terry Lee who worked with Hasan in Texas said he had heard him make other comments such as "Muslims have a right to attack the US" and "Muslims shouldn't be fighting Muslims".

How many more radical Jihadists are in our military? Is it even possible for a religious Muslim to properly serve our military or is it really like putting a fox in the hen house? This is not "can you be a good American and a Muslim". Of course you can! I know many.

You see when I say that "PC WILL BE THE DEATH OF US" it is because we are afraid to actually ask these questions. We have the ACLU concerned about profiling. Let me tell you something. I have an olive colored skin. Some people say I have a middle eastern look about me. When I am stopped at airport security for extra screening I am PLEASED. I think all true Americans would be pleased too. But no - profiling is wrong we are told.

Well we need to ask questions. We need to ask if it is even possible for someone to kill and wound the number of people we are lead to believe he did - on his own - with two hand guns. We need to know if there were other shooters.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) - a group that the FBI recently cut off from because it believes that CAIR is a front for Hamas) condemned the attack yesterday, although they added that "the motive of the attacker is not yet known" - that quote from CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad.

But other American Muslims who oppose CAIR say it is extremely clear what the motive was. Radical Islam and violent Jihad.

Even former terrorists are trying to make us wake up. In a quote in WND today, former Islamic terrorist Walid Shoebat is quoted as saying "America needs to awaken from it sleep and its unwillingness to face the issue of fundamentalist Islam in our midst which undoubtedly is the cause of the tragedy in Fort Hood."

TERRORISTS KILL 12, WOUND 31 AT TEXAS BASE

ENOUGH!!

I've had enough of it. Major Malik Nadal Hasan (according to ABC) opened fire on unarmed soldiers today. If anyone tries to say this was some lone nutjob I'm going to get really mad.

When are we going to do what we need to do? We went more than eight years without a terrorist attack on US soil and now this. The reason? Oh its so simple. We are slowly surrendering and they see an opportunity.

We are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! DO NOT MESS WITH US! When did we lose THAT message? And what hope that we can get it back with the Lilly livered occupants of the White House and Congress right now?

I am sick.

I have shed tears today.

I am REALLY angry - and frankly NONE of us should take it anymore.

NOW THAT THE DUST HAS SETTLED...

Last night was an amazing slap in the face for the President. He tried to use his own personal appeal to win the Governorships in Virginia and New Jersey. I think he went to the latter three times in recent weeks - and yet the people rejected him...

BIG TIME!

And he tried to distance himself really quickly - even going so far as to wheel out the worst press secretary I ever remember - Robert Gibbs - to tell all those who cared to listen that the President wasn't even watching the returns! Yes and did I tell you all I have the power of flight?

Anyway, with all the fun of that - and don't forget Pelosi said "we won!" - the thing that might be missed is the opportunity this presents to patriots who want to see an end to the uncontrolled printing and spending of money we don't actually have.

To me it seems obvious that there are Democrat members of the House and Senate who do not wish to be associated with two of the most unpopular Bills in living memory. This really could be the death of Government-run health care and the even worse Cap and Trade.

It will take a massive mobilization of the people. Letters, e-mails, phone calls are all extremely important. As is the trip inside the halls of power organized by Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann.

But make no mistake - they are feeling it.

Harry Reid is already walking healthcare back. "We're not going to be bound by any timelines. We need to do the best job we can for the American people. We want quality legislation, and we're going to do that." in answer to a question about whether he will be able to meet the President's demand for a Bill to sign this year.

So here's the thing. The are scared. Virginia scared the pants off them. They know that NY-23 is not relevant because of the circumstance of it. They need to be reminded. Every single day.

DO NOT LET UP VICTORY IS CLOSE!

THEY KNEW 61 YEARS AGO!

I suppose I should be grateful to Al Gore. I mean if he hadn't invented the Internet, I might never have seen this!

What is truly interesting however, is just how appropriate what we see here from 1948 is to today's world. I would say that the arguments are the same, but in fact our 1948 era ancestors would never have elected a President who has said the things ours has and who has surrounded himself with America-hating Marxists.
